Our History

In 1993, Mr. FENG Tao, the founder of Eplus3D, presided over the development of China's first Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) equipment; In 2002, Mr. FENG cooperated with South China University of Technology, developed China's first Selective Laser Melting (SLM) AM equipment.


Today, Eplus3D has become a global leader in the industrial 3D printing of metals and SLS/SLA plastics and offers integrated solutions in additive manufacturing. The company currently establishes four facilities in Beijing; Hangzhou; Stuttgart, Germany; and Houston, US, with equipment being exported to more than 40 countries and regions globally.

    US Subsidiary: Established a new subsdiary in Houston, US

    Launched: introduced the EP-M400, EP-M825, and EP-M1550 metal 3D printers

    Partnership: provided EP-M1550 and EP-M1250, two large format metal AM machines to JINGYE Additive Manufacturing for aerospace applications

    partnered with Bioprotece and Fit3D, LUMO, Fuchshofer Advanced Manufacturing – FAM GmbH, IGO3D, Eisenbacher Dentalwaren, and Prirevo, thus contributing to metal additive manufacturing application in healthcare as well as other industries

    Introduced: the MPBF Hybrid Manufacturing Solution enhancing efficiency and accuracy in metal 3D printing

    New Headquarter: Moved into new headquarter to Accommodate Business Growth on Metal 3D Printing

    Germany Subsidiary: Hold grand opening ceremony for Germany Subsidiary and the 1st global partner meeting

    Launched: EP-M450H, featuring the tallest build chamber of 456x456x1080mm, for use in aerospace, aviation, automotive and oil & gas applications

    EP-M1250 metal 3D printer, 9 laser large format machine for accelerating production speed greatly, for use in aerospace, aviation, automotive and machinery applications

    Partnership (Aerospace):  provide several Large Metal AM Machines to JINGYE Additive Manufacturing for Aerospace, including EP-M650 (quad laser)

    Partnership (Dental): expand dental additive manufacturing globally with BioSummer 3D, Biogenic Dental, HAGI GmbH and ISG Dental GmbH

    Introduced: non-contact powder cleaning added to metal AM machines

    Joint Declaration: separate from Shining3D and is no longer a subsidiary of Shining3D

    Founded: a new subsidiary in Stuttgart, Germany

    Formnext 2021: first show with Metal Additive Manufacturing Equipment EP-M150

    Partnership (Automotive): collaborated with the Delta Racing Team of Mannheim University of Applied Sciences, Ford Mustang, PWR and Siemens for metal Additive Manufacturing application in the automotive industry

    Partnership (Healthcare): collaborated with Mantiz, based in Daegu, South Korea, for metal Additive Manufacturing application in implant

    Partnership: responsible for the National Key Research and Development Program ''2016YFB1100700'' by signing the agreement with the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China with the official start of the research and development of ''Large-size Powder Bed SLM Additive Manufacturing Technology and Equipment''

    Award: National High-tech Enterprise
